Our Hotel Management degree opens doors to diverse opportunities worldwide, from luxury hotels in London to Caribbean resorts, weddings, conferences, restaurants, and contract catering.This unique two-year accelerated programme in the UK combines practical experience at Wivenhoe House, a 4-star hotel on our Colchester campus, with business management lectures to develop future leaders. Ranked 4th for student satisfaction and 7th in Tourism, Transport, and Travel (Complete University Guide, 2023), it's available only to non-visa students. The course features intensive study—around 45 weeks per year—with topics including customer experience, gastronomy, finance, human resources, marketing, and business strategy. Assessments encompass essays, exams, presentations, reports, and real-world projects like client consultations, enhancing employability through practical skills and mock interviews.

What you will learn

Your course will include modules that cover topics such as: customer experience and culture, gastronomy and food trends, finance management, human resources management, marketing and sales, entrepreneurship and business strategy. There are also sessions on research methods, presentation skills and referencing to assist you with your learning, as well as sessions on CV writing and behavioural interview techniques.
