This degree will give you the skills to apply the creative arts (dance, drama, art and music) in therapeutic ways to maintain and improve people’s physical and emotional wellbeing. Work experience You’ll be working in community settings from your first year of study and choose an area of your interest for your final year placement where you will be running workshops in the community. Through our established partnerships you could gain experience with arts groups, hospitals, hospices, schools, charities or other organisations supporting children and adults with disabilities. Careers By developing your transferable skills you’ll be able to specialise in an area of arts therapy or work across a variety of sectors. You may want to explore a role in: counselling and psychotherapy, community arts, art, dance, music or drama therapy or pursue a career in education, marketing or management.
