About the course

The Legal Studies Program equips students with a comprehensive understanding of fundamental legal principles and the legal system's functions. While no specific major is required for law school admission, many pre-law students choose to major in Legal Studies, as it prepares them for law-related careers and provides a strong foundation for law school or other graduate education. All full-time faculty are attorneys from ABA-accredited law schools and offer advising services. Pre-law students are encouraged to collaborate closely with program advisors in planning their studies. Completing the program leads to a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree in Legal Studies, and students must finish at least four in-person courses to qualify for Florida Paralegal Certification.
