About the course

The BCL (Law with French Law) allows you to undertake a degree in Irish law, whilst simultaneously acquiring a broad knowledge of French law and a very high level of competence in French language and French legal terminology. While on this degree, you’ll gain comparative insights which inform an enhanced critical perspective on Irish law. The third year of the degree is spent at a leading law school in France.Key Fact: UCD Law students receive tailored support and advice from our Head of Alumni & Career Development, Dr Oonagh Breen, on their prospective career paths. They are also given access to the School’s legal careers blog and are invited to attend UCD’s Annual Law Careers Fair. All Law students may apply to go on the annual UCD Corporate Law Study Trip to London.
