This degree focuses on the biologicalaspects of environmental science. It equipsstudents with a strong background inecology and its application to environmentalassessment and management. Marine,terrestrial and freshwater ecosystems arestudied through the disciplines of plant,animal and microbial ecology, evolutionarybiology, conservation biology, global changebiology, pollution biology, soil science andwildlife ecology. There¿s a strong emphasison vocational skills and links with industry.Core modules include mock environmentalimpact assessment, field-based samplingin Ireland and Spain, and guest lectures fromenvironmental managers and consultants.
