Our three-year BA (Hons) in Sport, Media and Culture equips students for careers as professional sports content creators and communicators in the modern media landscape. Our sports media and culture modules will explore how sport is framed in the media, whilst also providing an insight into the way that sport, sporting culture and journalism have shaped the cultural life of contemporary Britain and the world. Not only will these modules give you a robust grounding in theory, but you will also be offered the opportunity to put this theory into practice with authentic assessments and practical opportunities. Our innovative programme has been designed to ensure that students are able to study, at least 40 credits, two modules each year, through the medium of Welsh. Our first year offers a compulsory suite of modules, to help you to gain a firm understanding of the area of sport, media and culture. Your second and third years will include a mixture of compulsory and optional modules, many of a practical nature, further enhancing key employability skills.
