About the course

Are you interested in the "next big thing" in healthcare? The rapidly evolving field of Population Health offers an excellent career path for those at the forefront of healthcare innovation. At its core, Population Health examines the diverse factors influencing the health and outcomes of individuals, groups, and populations.Global healthcare systems face mounting pressures from chronic diseases, aging populations, and rising mental health issues. While medical advancements enhance health for many, disparities persist based on birthplace, residence, and work environment. Population Health addresses these inequities by analyzing group needs, refining care models, and delivering innovative solutions. This 4-year Medical Sciences and Population Health program, including a placement year between years two and three, provides foundational knowledge in medical/life sciences, social sciences, epidemiology, demography, public health, and health informatics. It fosters skills to identify health variations and implement practical improvements in wellbeing and service delivery. As part of the 'Medical Science in Practice' Pathway to Medicine, successful completion with minimum Graduate Entry Medicine requirements guarantees an interview for our flagship MBBCh course.
