Our integrated Criminology and Sociology degree combines two complementary social sciences, exploring the evolution of sociological and criminological perspectives and their relevance in modern society. Students gain comprehensive knowledge of key issues such as substance use, housing, and poverty, while developing transferable skills for employment in social sciences and beyond. Based in the School of Social Sciences, the programme offers a vibrant environment, with Criminology ranked in the top 15 in the UK for teaching satisfaction and top 20 overall (Guardian University Guide 2024), and Sociology in the top 5 for student satisfaction (Complete University Guide 2024).
