As a QUT nursing graduate you will be skilled in delivering safe and competent practice across diverse populations, responding to the challenges of health care with agility and resilience, and engaging consumers as informed partners in their health care.
Inherent requirements
There are some essential skills and abilities you'll need to perform to meet the core learning outcomes of your course or unit. They're not something you need to get in to the course, but they'll be assessed throughout your course, and they'll be required for you to succeed in your career when you graduate. Find out more about the inherent requirements for the Bachelor of Nursing.
Mandatory notifications
While you are registered as a student with the NMBA, QUT has an obligation to notify AHPRA if you have an impairment that may place the public at substantial risk of harm when undertaking clinical training. Find out more about the guidelines for mandatory notifications.
Double degrees
Combine two bachelor degrees into a single course of study. A double degree allows you to specialise in two fields and pursue different interest areas, gaining a broader range of skills and knowledge, and giving you a competitive advantage and greater career flexibility. Consider the following double degrees with a Bachelor of Nursing:
Behavioural Science (Psychology): combine your skills and knowledge for a career as a nurse in a range of areas including emergency, mental health, palliative care or cancer departments.
Public Health: develop your nursing career in clinical environments or non-clinical roles with a focus on public health areas such as Indigenous health, community health, risk factors for illness, or implementing new policies and programs to improve population health.
A local representative of Queensland University of Technology (QUT) in Singapore is available online to assist you with enquiries about this course.
