Foundation studies will build knowledge in anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, professional nursing practice, and contemporary healthcare, including pharmacology with a focus on quality medicine use. These are enhanced through practical application in on-campus facilities and off-campus clinical placements, preparing you for an expanding scope of practice involving complex interventions in various settings.Inherent requirements include essential skills and abilities needed to meet core learning outcomes and succeed in your career. QUT must notify relevant authorities of any impairments that could risk public safety during clinical training. You may pursue double degrees, such as in Behavioural Science (Psychology) for roles in mental health or emergency care, or Public Health for community-focused positions. The program requires a minimum of 800 hours of clinical placement for hands-on experience.
