About the course

The Bachelor of Medical Imaging (Honours) prepares graduates for a career as a radiographer, or medical imaging technologist, involving the use of advanced techniques like X-ray, computed tomography (CT), and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to generate high-quality images. These images assist medical specialists in diagnosing, managing, and treating injuries and diseases, while the honours element provides a competitive edge by fostering critical thinking, research skills, and leadership abilities in an evolving field. Students will engage in targeted topics leading to a final-year research project, complemented by advanced imaging and professional practice placements.Work integration learning is a key component, requiring completion of 55 weeks (equivalent to 2200 hours) of professional work placements to build practical expertise.
