Interior Architecture and Design, BA (Hons)

The BA (Hons) in Interior Architecture and Design is a dynamic, creative program that equips students with essential skills to design beautiful, functional, and sustainable spaces. It explores internal environments in relation to architectural elements like structure and light, fostering a designer's identity through hands-on modules. Based in the historic Arkwright building, the course promotes collaboration, experimentation, and real-world projects with industry clients, alongside opportunities for placements, guest lectures, and exhibitions.Key highlights include top rankings: first for undergraduate architecture student numbers (HESA, 2021/22), second for global sustainability (UI GreenMetric, 2023), and joint sixth for graduate prospects in the UK (Complete University Guide, 2024). Modules cover design studio, professional studies, and research projects, with assessment fully based on coursework such as projects and portfolios. The course is recognized by the Chartered Society of Designers.
