Biomedical science applies scientific principles to health, emphasizing the study of the human body in both health and disease, including the diagnosis and treatment of conditions like infectious diseases, cancer, diabetes, and heart disease. At NTU, the focus is on equipping students with essential practical skills for success in this field, providing hands-on experience with industry-standard equipment such as haematology and clinical chemistry analysers used in NHS laboratories. This early exposure ensures graduates are well-prepared for professional roles, familiar with lab processes and protocols.NTU maintains strong partnerships with the NHS and biomedical employers, ensuring courses remain current through regular consultations and input from industry experts. Students benefit from access to the latest knowledge and workplace-simulating projects, led by staff with NHS experience.
