Aerospace Engineering, BEng (Hons), with industry placement

At Nottingham Trent University (NTU), we are training aerospace engineers to tackle real-world challenges in a rapidly expanding industry, one of the fastest-growing sectors in the UK. Graduates will be well-prepared for current demands and future advancements in flight, with a strong emphasis on innovation and industry trends.Sustainability is a key focus, given the short lifespans of many engineering products; we teach sustainable design principles to promote reuse, repurposing, and recycling. This is integrated into first-year projects and a dedicated final-year module. Students learn from experienced lecturers and researchers with extensive aerospace backgrounds, engaging in live industry projects, guest lectures, and company visits to stay abreast of emerging techniques. The course is recognised by the CDIO framework, which emphasises project-based learning through conceiving, designing, implementing, and operating real-world systems to build foundational engineering skills.
