A degree in Urban Planning provides a vital opportunity to address pressing global challenges, such as climate change, rising sea levels, population growth, and economic shifts, by transforming how cities are designed and developed. This course equips students with essential skills in urban planning, emphasizing digital and data expertise for smart cities, alongside practical experiences like live case studies and field trips. Drawing on multidisciplinary expertise from architecture, engineering, and geography, it fosters collaboration in interdisciplinary teams, preparing graduates for real-world planning roles.The BSc and MPlan programs share the first three years, with transfer possible based on performance. The BSc focuses on core principles of spatial planning and placemaking, while the MPlan includes advanced study in specialized areas like transport or infrastructure planning, culminating in an integrated project. Assessment combines coursework (75%) and exams (25%), ensuring a balance of individual and group work.
