Our BA (Hons) in English and Sport Science integrates two dynamic disciplines, allowing students to dedicate equal time to both areas, making it ideal for those with interests in literature, language, and physical activity. While each field maintains its unique subjects and methods, the program highlights meaningful connections between them. The English component explores a wide range of literature and language topics, informed by our staff's current research, including Shakespearean staging, film studies, and poetry analysis. Meanwhile, the Sport Science element covers physiology, physical activity, health, psychology, sociology, and sport pedagogy, supporting careers in sport, health, and education.Assessment for English modules involves coursework designed to build diverse skills, while Sport Science modules use methods such as group work, presentations, essays, multiple-choice tests, and examinations. These include essays, reflective work, seminar participation, online tests, annotated bibliographies, performance projects, research projects, workbooks, and dissertations. For a full list of modules, refer to the 'What You'll Study' section on our website.
