Our innovative Architecture undergraduate degree at Loughborough University nurtures creative design leaders equipped with excellent communication, management skills, and multidisciplinary knowledge through hands-on, immersive education. Architects play a vital role in planning and designing the buildings and spaces we use, integrating fields like art, history, physics, and engineering. Rooted in a century of 'theory and practice' tradition, the course fosters real-world learning via studio-based activities, collaboration with allied disciplines in construction, engineering, and building energy, and support from experienced practitioners. An annual End of Year Show highlights student achievements to potential employers. The programme exempts graduates from the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) Part I exam, offering a pathway to the extended MArch for chartered status. Assessment includes coursework such as sketchbooks, essays, models, reports, and presentations, with some first-year modules featuring exams. Studio work is evaluated through portfolios, complemented by ongoing feedback via tutorials and critiques. For detailed modules, refer to the course page.
