The Natural Sciences MSci degree provides a rigorous, interdisciplinary education, enabling students to explore multiple scientific disciplines at an advanced level. Students can tailor their programme by combining up to three subjects from ten areas, including Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Computing, Engineering, Environmental and Earth Sciences, Geography, Mathematics, Medical School, Physics, and Psychology. This flexibility allows for broad exploration or focused specialisation, fostering skills in data analysis, laboratory techniques, and interdisciplinary problem-solving.In the first year, students select three pathways—two in sciences and one potentially from humanities or social sciences—gaining foundational knowledge from leading academics. By year's end, they may continue with three subjects or narrow to two. Subsequent years feature increasingly specialised modules, skill development in research and project management, and a final-year research project, equipping graduates for rewarding careers in research and development.
