About this courseOn this practical course, you'll develop practical coaching skills as well as studying the science behind effective coaching, performance, leadership and sports analysis. You'll have access to sophisticated equipment to measure the physiological responses to exercise and analyse sports movements and skills.Modules cover psychology, motivation, human physiology, anatomy, biomechanics and notational analysis. A project or dissertation on a selected topic will develop your independent learning skills.You will gain the CIMSPA Coaching Assistant qualification after successfully completing your first year.

Assessment method
Teaching is through lectures, supported by smaller group tutorials, seminars and practical laboratory sessions. Assessment includes continuous assessment, such as essays, laboratory reports, presentations, thesis and exams.
