About the course

Develop your creative voice and springboard into the industry as an innovative professional.Learn to challenge conventional conceptions of fashion image making by investigating the complex relationships between fashion, storytelling, ethics, diversity, social position and body image. Taking this new-found understanding into practice, you’ll be encouraged to experiment with both traditional and experimental methods of fashion image making, including film photography, moving image, VR, 3D modelling and photogrammetry. Collaboration and community are part of the DNA of this course, and this industry. So, you’ll have opportunities to work with students from across the University’s departments – from games to performing arts – as well as globally renowned industry contributors, meaning you’ll graduate with a valuable professional network.You will:Attend guest lectures and have access to world-leading practitioners that have previously included Harris Elliott, Matthew Holroyd, Joyce NG, Shonagh Marshall, Amy Gwatkin, Derek Ridgers, Ewen Spencer, Ben Weller and Hempstead May Pitch your projects to industry experts and work on live briefs set by international partners. Students have previously worked with Baron, Element, Wella, River Island and SHOWstudio Have access to professional photographic facilities as well as cutting-edge equipment from across the University Learn from an industry connected course team, who are internationally published with titles that include Acne Studios, Beauty Papers, i-D, Re-Edition, The Face and Vogue Hommes.
