Year 1In your first year you will study the compulsory module Sources of the Self, an interdisciplinary module designed with Liberal Arts students in mind.Academics from across the Faculty of Arts and Humanities teach on this module and students explore topics including but not limited to:Modern JapanThe Philosophy of Emmanuel KantThe work of Sigmund FreudEthicsBuddhismAnd belief in medieval England.You will then study an additional five modules, these can be chosen from a minimum of two and a maximum of four subjects. Assessment is designed to evaluate your knowledge and understanding of the modules, test your critical thinking and determine your ability to relate your learning to real-world issues.In your final year, you will also complete a research project or dissertation – supported by one-on-one supervision – that makes up one-third of your final-year marks.
