About the course

Accounting is an excellent choice for those with analytical minds and problem-solving skills, requiring strong communication alongside numerical abilities—prior math expertise is not essential. This degree immerses students in accounting and business from the start, offering maximum professional accreditations from ICAEW, ACCA, and CIMA. Graduates emerge partially qualified, needing only work experience and a few final exams for full certification. The program features six core pillars—financial accounting, management accounting, technology, audit and assurance, taxation, and research in accounting—plus an employability theme that integrates real-world skills throughout. In the first year, core modules cover financial accounting techniques, quantitative methods, management accounting fundamentals, ethics and sustainability, introduction to financial economics, foundations of finance, and principles of taxation. Assessment includes exams, written assignments, reports, projects, presentations, and a 10,000-word dissertation, designed to evaluate knowledge, problem-solving, communication, and real-world application. The course emphasizes employability through employer consultations, guest lectures, and optional placement or study abroad options.
