About the course

This course equips passionate individuals with practical business skills and knowledge for diverse careers in the global sports industry. By integrating sport and management principles, it explores policy, planning, management, and delivery of sports-related services, products, and activities. Key benefits include engagement with local, national, and international organizations for practical experience, specialized modules addressing industry challenges, access to global networks for placements and site visits, application of management theory to real-world problems, industry insights through expert talks and trips (e.g., to venues like Amsterdam Arena), and opportunities for professional networking via events. The program features a common first year shared with related courses, allowing exploration of other disciplines and potential degree switches. In subsequent years, students develop technical, study, professional, and global skills, with an optional placement year for hands-on experience at a reduced fee. Assessments vary by module, including exams, essays, presentations, and projects. The course is recognized by professional bodies such as the European Foundation for Management Development and the Chartered Association of Business Schools.
