About the course

From September 2025, this paramedic science degree will be delivered under the new code HU11. It prepares students to deliver frontline care in dynamic settings, administering life-saving treatments for traumatic injuries and medical emergencies. Paramedics often respond first on scene and work across environments like GP surgeries and communities, equipping graduates to handle urgent care for diverse populations and apply for registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).The course builds essential skills through simulated learning, NHS placements, and a focus on clinical reasoning, teamwork, and healthcare systems. Study one module at a time with integrated assessments, and benefit from government funding for eligible students. It fosters professional identity, digital fluency, and international perspectives, supported by Coventry University's partnerships with NHS Trusts to ensure relevance and career readiness. Modules span foundational skills, medical emergencies, and advanced practice, with assessments including coursework, exams, and practical evaluations.
