About the course

The BSc (Hons) Financial Management and Accounting has been designed to fit in the CU Group overall strategic curriculum base, and to specifically form part of the curriculum for Accounting, Financial Services, Law and Policing at CU Coventry. The degree aims to equip students across the globe with the knowledge, competences and skills, that are required to be successful in today’s international market for financial managers, as well as provide the academic rigour expected from an award from Coventry University. The BSc (Hons) Financial Management and Accounting provision, comprises awards for the Higher National Certificate (HNC), the Higher National Diploma (HND) and the BSc, leading to a Coventry University Honours degree. In addition, there is the potential for accreditation and exemptions from professional body qualifications, and also providing directly transferable skills to a range of equivalent roles worldwide. Approaches will be made to professional bodies such as the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), to seek relevant exemptions from their modules. The degree is geared to high intensity teaching and study through the programme, requiring full commitment from students. All of the teaching will be designed to be available through a blended delivery model, on a full-time and part-time basis.
