About the course

Are you inspired to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children, young people, and their families? Envision yourself as a dedicated advocate for young patients, addressing their distinct health needs with compassion and expertise. A postgraduate degree in children's nursing positions you at the forefront of care delivery, equipping you to lead and innovate in this challenging yet profoundly rewarding field. This path fosters professional growth while enabling a lasting impact on pediatric healthcare. Are you prepared to embark on this transformative journey? As self-directed learners, you will receive support from academics and clinical staff to build practical and theoretical expertise, preparing for entry onto the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) register. The program employs a learner-centered, flexible blended approach, integrating face-to-face, online, and practical elements in acute, primary, and social care settings. Inter-professional opportunities involve collaboration with diverse healthcare students, service users, and carers via simulations and interactive activities. You will master evidence-based care for children with acute or long-term conditions, emphasizing health promotion and prevention, with some placements in the NHS. Guided by NHS Values, which promote collaboration and shared aspirations, nursing students may qualify for at least £5,000 annual bursary (non-repayable); see details at NHS Learning Support Fund. Graduates are eligible for NMC registration.
