Data analytics (Big Data) is a defining phenomenon of the 21st century, with growing demand for skilled analysts who can collate, interpret, and extract value from complex datasets.This programme equips students with essential techniques in mathematics, statistics, data analysis, and computing to solve real-world business and industry problems. It fosters algorithm development for pattern recognition and value extraction from large datasets, while building graduate skills like problem-solving and communication through project-based work comprising one-third of credits at each level. In the second year, students explore neural networks and deep learning—integrating linear algebra, nonlinear activations, vector calculus, and optimization—enabling them to build and explain their own models with practical rigor. The four-year Professional Placement option leverages our expertise to secure paid placements with blue-chip firms, where mathematical and transferable skills are highly sought after.
