About the course

This course integrates staff expertise and research from Human Geography and Anthropology to build your knowledge and skills across both disciplines.Human Geography examines complex society-environment relationships central to global challenges, while Anthropology provides profound insights into cultural and social diversity, revealing diverse life experiences. In Year 1, you gain foundational knowledge; in Years 2 and 3, select half your modules from each, with Human Geography focusing on cities and urbanism, postcolonialism, race and migration, and political ecology and environmental justice; Anthropology covers childhood, youth and education, development, war and humanitarianism, and global health. Fieldwork, including a mandatory Year 1 residential trip and optional Year 2 trip, fosters immersive learning and employability. Together, these subjects complement each other, opening graduate careers in government, international organizations, NGOs, media, research and education.
