About the course

In today's interconnected world, software systems, devices, and data face constant cyberthreats. Our BSc Computer Science (Cybersecurity) equips you with core computer science knowledge before specializing in cybersecurity techniques to mitigate threats, reduce disruptions, and minimize breach costs. The flexible programme allows module choices and transfers between Computer Science and Business Computing up to Level 2, with specialisms up to Level 3. One-third of each year is project-based, including team software builds in Levels 1-2, an individual final-year project, and showcasing at the Made in Brunel event. A year-long placement between Years 2-3 boosts employability at firms like Accenture and Microsoft. BCS-accredited for CITP registration and membership, the department holds Athena SWAN Bronze with a Women in Engineering mentoring scheme. Graduates pursue roles as analysts, architects, consultants, or entrepreneurs.
