From the outset, you'll engage in an interdisciplinary approach, studying alongside diverse engineering students in Year 1 and building core knowledge in subjects like materials science, structural analysis, hydraulics, and surveying in Year 2.In Year 3, choose from pathways such as Flood and Coastal Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or core civil engineering, with Year 4 focusing on advanced studies in your selected area. A placement year between Years 2 and 3 provides practical experience in offices, design projects, or construction sites, enhancing your employability. Key modules include Flood Modelling and Analysis, Fluid Mechanics and Hydraulics, and Environmental Management and Pollution Control.
