About the course

The BSc Business Computing degree offers a challenging curriculum blending theory and hands-on practice to equip you with skills for effective information systems that adapt to organisational growth. Modules cover software fundamentals, algorithms, system architectures, development methods (requirements, design, implementation, testing, maintenance), and team-based project management, fostering strong problem-solving, model-building, and clear communication using standard notations.Designed for flexibility, you can specialise gradually, transfer from Computer Science up to Level 2, or choose a specialism before Level 3. One-third of each year is project-based, culminating in an individual final-year project showcased at the Made in Brunel event. A optional year-long placement enhances employability, with graduates joining firms like Accenture and Microsoft. Accredited by the British Computer Society for CITP registration, the programme holds Athena SWAN Bronze status, supporting gender equality via mentoring schemes.
