About the course

Majoring in Screen Production in your Bachelor of Media and Communication means you’ll explore the various stages from conceptualisation to distribution in the process of creating visual content for screens.  Screen production can vary in scale, from independent films and web series to large-scale Hollywood blockbusters and television shows. Each stage requires different skills and expertise, and our degree ensures you’ll build a strong foundation in all areas.  Foster skills in the fundamentals of media and communication, and key elements of law and policy relating to the media. Then, develop your skills in the application of core film and television production roles and produce short fiction films. Build practical and theoretical knowledge of cinematic design and digital compositing, preparing you to work in film, animation and visual effects.  Learn how to successfully collaborate with other students and industry partners in major projects and through professional experience. Discover where the screen industry can lead you and take advantage of our industry-focused curriculum.
