Campuses

With buildings steeped in history, vibrant galleries and public spaces, and the latest in teaching and research facilities, Adelaide University’s Adelaide City Campus is perfectly positioned on North Terrace in the Central Business District (CBD).

The campus encompasses precincts at both the east and west of the city. The western precinct features cutting-edge creative studios and modern learning spaces. Located adjacent to the Adelaide Botanic Gardens, the eastern precinct is infused with rich architectural history and cultural significance.

North Terrace is well known as Adelaide’s cultural boulevard. With institutions like the SA Museum, Art Gallery of South Australia, Jam Factory, Samstag Museum of Art and MOD, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to discover South Australia’s rich history and culture.

Adelaide City Campus is easily accessed by public transport and is included in the city’s free tram travel zone that runs between the South Terrace, Adelaide Entertainment Centre, Festival Plaza and Botanic Gardens tram stops. Magill Campus is tucked in the picturesque eastern suburbs of Adelaide, just seven kilometres from the city centre. Getting to the campus is easy using local bus routes, and there is plenty of affordable on-campus car parking if you’re driving.

Magill Campus boasts cutting-edge research laboratories and hands-on studios including a dedicated theatre and industry-standard TV and radio station.

Huge gum trees border the open green spaces, and you may even spot a koala during your lunch break or in between classes. The campus also has a gym for use by students, staff or the public, and it’s just a short walk to Magill Plaza shopping centre where you can find local cafes, a supermarket, a pharmacy and more. Adelaide University’s Mawson Lakes Campus is set alongside 114 hectares of wetlands within the world-class Mawson Lakes residential development. Just 12 kilometres and approximately 20 minutes' drive from the city centre, the campus is next to Technology Park, which is home to several global space, technology, and defence companies, many of which have partnered with the University.

Relax by the recreation lake, access local shops or explore the wonders of the universe at the Adelaide Planetarium, which is located on campus. Mawson Lakes Campus is easily accessible by train with the Mawson Lakes rail interchange nearby, and plentiful on-campus car parking available. Here are some amenities near our campus.

Adelaide University’s Mount Gambier Campus is set in the scenic Limestone Coast region approximately 430km from Adelaide and around five hours drive from either Adelaide or Melbourne. The campus offers contemporary learning facilities within the South Australia’s largest regional city and provides all the conveniences of city living in a relaxed regional environment. Situated on 1600 hectares of land, Adelaide University’s Roseworthy Campus is located 50 kilometres north of the city, just under an hour from the city centre. Originally established as Australia’s first agricultural college in 1883, the campus is home to our animal and veterinary science research and includes a fully operational livestock farm.

Roseworthy Campus features a range of modern agricultural teaching and research facilities, including an aquatic reserve and fauna park. You can catch public transport to the campus or make use of on-campus parking - available to staff, students or visitors driving to Roseworthy. Here are some amenities near our campus.

Adelaide University’s Waite Campus is set in the Adelaide foothills on a sprawling 184 hectares just seven kilometres from the city centre. The campus is home to several agricultural, horticultural and viticultural industry partners focused on world-class research in a range of areas, including plant biotechnology and natural resource sciences.

Waite Campus also features the Waite Arboretum occupying 27 hectares and containing about 2,500 specimens representing more than 800 plant species. Getting to Waite Campus is easy via one of the many nearby bus routes and there are also plenty of on-campus car parks for students, staff and visitors. Here are some amenities near our campus.

Adelaide University’s picturesque Whyalla Campus is set in the coastal Eyre Peninsula region, approximately 380kms from Adelaide and just over four-hours’ drive. The 22-hectare site makes Whyalla Campus the largest regional university campus in South Australia. The on-campus residential village provides private, modern student accommodation so you’ll never be far from your next class.

Whyalla is home to unique marine ecotourism opportunities and boasts a unique circular jetty, the only one of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere. Here are some amenities near our campus.
