Biological Science More about Biological Science

If you are naturally curious about the diverse biological life forms we share our world and interact with, the study of Biological Science will quench your thirst with its knowledge. Biological Science is the study of life, from molecules to populations – includes nutrition, biology, botany, zoology, genetics, microbiology and molecular biology.

Biological Scientists share a passion for understanding the living world. The Biological Science encompass a wide range such as Animal Biology, Bioinformatics, Ecology, Evolutionary Biology, Microbiology, Molecular Genetics, Physiology and Developmental Biology, and Plant Biology.

You could learn the fundamentals of cell biology, the computer skills needed to understand protein sequences, or the mating habits of orangutan. You will spend a lot of your time in the laboratory doing practical work. As what you are studying involves living organisms or the environment around us you will also learn the the ethical aspects associated with that field.

If you want to specialise, you may choose to expand your studies to forensic science, immunology and toxicology. You could then find suitable research posts in the public and private sector – particularly in industry – or in academia.
