The BA Translation and Interpreting programme cultivates high-level professionals with a global outlook, strong intercultural communication skills, and the ability to innovate and lead in the language services industry.It fosters interdisciplinary integration, enabling students to explore translation alongside language technologies, digital media, business, law, and cultural studies. Through rigorous training, participants build bilingual proficiency, intercultural literacy, cross-disciplinary knowledge, research and analytical skills, and digital fluency, laying a strong foundation for careers in language services and related fields. Students access exceptional instructors, world-class translation and interpreting labs, and an advanced AI-assisted cloud platform. China’s Ministry of Education has designated our Multimodal Translation Empowered by Digital Intelligence teaching platform as a national virtual simulation teaching innovation laboratory—the first for XJTLU and a benchmark in translation education technology.
