The BEng Electronic Science and Technology programme provides a solid foundation in semiconductor microelectronics, electronic engineering, and photonics. It equips students to explore the intricate operations of electronic devices and the technologies involved in integrated circuit (IC) design and manufacturing. Graduates gain expertise in cutting-edge and emerging technologies, positioning them for diverse career opportunities amid a global shortage of skilled engineers.Studying at XJTLU offers a strong emphasis on microelectronics and photonics, access to state-of-the-art equipment for IC design, fabrication, and system applications, and five well-equipped cleanrooms for practical application of classroom knowledge. Unique among Chinese universities, the IC design module features hands-on software training. Students earn dual degrees: one from XJTLU (recognized by China's Ministry of Education) and a globally esteemed degree from the University of Liverpool, a Russell Group member.
