This Sustainable Automotive Engineering course addresses the growing importance of sustainability in the automotive sector, where manufacturers are adopting eco-friendly processes for vehicle development and production. Students will acquire essential engineering fundamentals, including materials, mechanics, electrical circuits, CAD modelling, programming, and numerical techniques. The curriculum explores low-emission propulsion, advanced vehicle technologies, electrical systems, and dynamics, drawing directly from our Dynamics, Control, and Vehicle research group.In state-of-the-art Future Technologies Labs, featuring computer suites, robotics facilities, CNC machines, and 3D printers, you'll engage in hands-on projects like Formula Student, designing electric racing cars. Supported by academic advisers, mentors, and industry links, graduates will be equipped to tackle automotive challenges, including sustainability. The course offers respected accreditation and options for MEng or BEng with industrial placements. Located on a scenic campus near Brighton, Sussex fosters innovation and global impact.
