Mechanical Engineering, MEng (Hons), with industry placement

The Master of Engineering (MEng) programme allows students to tailor their studies through various options, meeting the criteria for Chartered Engineer status. It includes a placement year for hands-on industry experience, supported by the department, alongside world-class research from groups like Dynamics, Control and Vehicle, and Thermo-Fluid Mechanics. Students access advanced facilities in Future Technologies Labs and a manufacturing lab equipped with CNC machines and 3D printers, enabling specialisation in areas such as CAD, computational fluid dynamics, and projects in control, vibration, or aerodynamics, including Formula Student.The course holds respected industry accreditation, enhancing career prospects. It is also available as a four-year BEng with placement, a three-year BEng, or without placement.
