Our Master of Engineering (MEng) degree allows you to specialise in electrical and electronic engineering, meeting the requirements for Chartered Engineer status. With 87.9% of our Engineering research outputs rated world-leading or internationally excellent (REF 2021), our curriculum draws from cutting-edge areas like renewable energies, robotics, 5G communications, and medical technologies. You'll study in state-of-the-art facilities, including Future Technologies Labs, gaining hands-on experience in building robots, programming systems, and working on industry-inspired projects. Dedicated academic advisers and mentors provide support throughout.As you advance, you'll receive specialist training in applications from sensor design to electric motors for sustainable transport. An optional industry placement offers real-world experience, enhancing employability with help from our careers team. We also offer variants without placement, including a three-year BEng.
