About the course

This course meets the rising demand for skilled professionals in the aviation and travel sector, where daily operations handle 12.5 million passengers and 128,000 flights carrying $18 billion in goods. With global air passenger numbers expected to double by 2042, it equips students with essential business skills and industry knowledge. Drawing on Surrey's 60 years of expertise in hospitality and tourism, as an ITT Centre of Excellence, we offer expert teaching, collaborations with nearby airports like Heathrow, and opportunities for field trips, events, and placements. The curriculum explores AI, space research, and trends like space tourism, preparing graduates for careers and further study in our MSc in Air Transport Management.Starting in September 2025, this innovative BSc provides a comprehensive education in airline and airport management, integrating interdisciplinary knowledge from Surrey's strengths in AI, sustainability, and space. You'll study strategic planning, operations, innovation, data analytics, sustainability, revenue management, marketing, finance, and human resources, all designed to enhance employability and foster innovative aviation specialists.
