Our Criminology and Sociology degree provides comprehensive training in two interconnected fields, offering expertise in criminology and the theory and methods of applied social science. Students learn to adopt a criminological mindset, applying it to contemporary issues such as social diversity and inequalities, while examining how activities are defined as criminal, the explanations for crime, and societal reactions to it.The program delves into key questions about the criminal justice system, the social contexts of crime, and the relationship between behaviour and punishment. Why and how do individuals break the law, and how is this addressed through policing, prosecution, and punishment?
