Practical training includes laboratory skills, fieldwork at the University of Stirling campus and residential courses in Scotland, plus opportunities to engage in research. Our internationally active staff ensure you develop the expertise needed for diverse biology careers, with 100% of research in Biological and Environmental Sciences rated as outstanding or very considerable impact (REF 2021).If you are passionate about numbers and using mathematics to solve real-world problems, this programme builds specific skills and broad analytical expertise valued across professions. It emphasises practical applications of mathematical and statistical techniques, integrating computing laboratories for an experimental approach. Delivered in a supportive environment by our Computing Science and Mathematics division, the course focuses on applying maths to biology, economics, and life sciences, with options for combined Honours degrees.
