This course explores the factors influencing animal resistance to disease, the reasons behind female mate choice, and strategies for aiding animals in challenging environments. You will investigate the vast diversity of animal life on Earth, addressing these and other key questions through studies in animal behaviour, ecology, evolution, cell biology, physiology, conservation, and management.Essential training includes laboratory techniques and fieldwork, which you will learn early in the program and apply to your own research interests. Opportunities for hands-on experience are available at the University of Stirling campus and during residential field courses in Scotland.
