About the course

The BSc Physiotherapy program at the University of Southampton, ranked 3rd in the UK by the Guardian University Guide 2024, prepares students to become skilled physiotherapists over three years. You will learn to manage complex healthcare cases, treat mobility issues from illness, injury, or ageing, and enhance patients' physical activity and quality of life. Supported by a community of students and staff, the program guides you from student to professional, with eligibility to register upon graduation with the Health and Care Professions Council and the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy.The curriculum features a range of modules, including core first-year options like Introduction to Professional Practice and Applied Health Sciences, designed to build confidence in patient care. Assessments include lectures, tutorials, coursework, projects, essays, oral presentations, exams, and placements, ensuring comprehensive evaluation and support from academic tutors and mentors.
