This 4-year degree programme combines the study of French, German, or Spanish with politics, enabling students to enhance their modern language skills while exploring political systems, history, and cultures in these societies. With a 96% employment or further study rate for graduates within 15 months, the course includes a year abroad for workplace, teaching, or university placements. Students will immerse themselves in their chosen language, engage with political debates, analyse societies, and develop expertise in areas such as translation, contemporary society, literature, film, anthropology, and history.Throughout the degree, students study politics alongside their language, selecting modules like Engaging Political Ideas, Introduction to International Relations, and Audiovisual Translation. Assessment involves lectures, classes, tutorials, coursework, individual and group projects, and independent learning, fostering a comprehensive understanding of global cultures and languages.
