This integrated medicine programme is open to both domestic and international students. You will study at University Hospital Southampton, a leading UK teaching hospital, and our advanced Life Sciences facilities on campus. From the early weeks, you will gain clinical experience through patient interactions in hospital and primary care settings, while engaging in world-class medical research and conducting your own in-depth project.As part of the degree, you will undertake weekend shifts as a healthcare support worker, complete a research project in year 3, and participate in a student assistantship module in year 5. Learning will involve real patients, simulated environments, and case studies. Options include a year 5 elective in the UK or abroad, intercalated BSc or MSc studies between years 3 and 4, and an optional French or Spanish module in year 3. You can also engage in research and entrepreneurship with industry partners. Placements in year 3 may include Portsmouth, Winchester, and Southampton, with final years across the Wessex region.
