Mechatronic Engineering, BEng (Hons)

Mechatronic engineering integrates electrical and mechanical principles to develop systems involving mechanical components, electrical power, sensing, and control. This three-year BEng degree at Southampton equips students to address industry demands in robotics, flexible manufacturing, electromechanical systems, and power transmission. Students explore combining microelectronics with mechanical elements in applications like electric vehicles and industrial robots, supported by top-ranked facilities, including £8m teaching labs and a £100m clean room complex.
