This programme explores the fundamentals of finance and the dynamic Financial Technology (FinTech) sector. Over three years, students gain cutting-edge skills for diverse careers through research and development. Opportunities include developing a deep understanding of business environments and financial theories, utilising the Financial Laboratory with Bloomberg terminals and Refinitiv Workspace, learning computer programming, statistical software like Eviews and Stata, advanced machine learning, AI techniques, and exploring FinTech innovations. Students also build strong numeracy and analytical skills. Additionally, four-year options offer a paid industrial placement or a year studying abroad at partner institutions in Europe, North America, Australia, or Asia.The curriculum covers modules such as Econometrics with Big Data, Financial Econometrics, and Cryptocurrency Investments. Assessment methods include dissertations, essays, individual and group projects, and written exams. The programme holds accreditations from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business and the Chartered Financial Analyst Institute, ensuring industry recognition.
