About the course

This four-year MEng in Electronic Engineering with Wireless Communications builds on the BEng programme, equipping students with essential skills and knowledge for diverse engineering careers. It emphasises wireless communications through key topics like signal processing, speech communications, radio engineering, and computer vision. In the third and fourth years, students engage in group projects addressing real industry challenges, enhancing both technical and management abilities. The programme is delivered at Southampton, consistently ranked in the UK's top five for Electrical and Electronic Engineering, with investments in advanced facilities including £8m teaching labs and a £100m clean room complex.Students benefit from a flexible structure, starting with core modules in circuits, systems, programming, and mathematics, then progressing to specialised options and an individual research project. Assessment includes examinations, tests, design exercises, presentations, and group work. The degree is accredited by the Institution of Engineering and Technology, supporting strong career prospects through employer links, careers fairs, and enterprise initiatives.

What you will learn
