This highly technical four-year MEng in Electrical Engineering builds on the BEng programme, equipping students with cross-disciplinary skills for advanced topics ranging from bionanotechnology to high-voltage engineering. Delivered at a UK top-five ranked institution, the course utilises state-of-the-art facilities, including a £100m clean room complex and high-voltage laboratory, to foster analytical expertise and innovative project work at the forefront of research. Graduates are highly sought after due to strong employer ties, career support through fairs and incubators, and accreditation by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET).The programme features core modules in the first two years, covering circuits, electronics, programming, and mathematics, followed by flexible options in years three and four that align with industry demands. Students undertake individual projects and can opt for a year in industry. Assessment includes examinations, in-class tests, design exercises, presentations, and group work, ensuring comprehensive evaluation of learning outcomes.

This four-year MEng programme will enable you to pursue a career in any area of the electrical engineering industry. During the first two years you will undertake a series of core modules, for example Circuits, Electronic Systems, Programming, Digital Systems and Devices, Fields, Forces and Materials, and Mathematics. In your third and fourth years you can choose from a wide range of optional modules that reflect the specialist areas of electrical engineering that will take you to the leading edge of technology sought by industry.
