Quantity Surveying, BSc (Hons)

The BSc Quantity Surveying programme equips students with essential knowledge of the mechanisms influencing construction costs and pricing, ensuring projects are delivered on time, to specification, and within budget. Designed to foster a successful career in quantity surveying, the course leverages strong industry connections and professional links. It is accredited by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and the Chartered Institute of Building, enhancing its credibility.Students may undertake paid industrial placements, ranging from a year to shorter durations, in the UK or abroad, with past opportunities at firms like Deloitte and Savills. These experiences provide industry insights and networking. Additionally, incoming 2025 cohorts could access an annual £1,000 scholarship over three years, subject to conditions. Core first-year modules include Construction Science, Information and Communication, Construction Technology, Introduction to Economics and Law, Empirical Studies and Site Engineering, and Introduction to Management and Projects, though all are subject to final approval.
